Celebrating one of the largest graduations at Nazarbayev University School of Engineering and Digital Sciences

The School of Engineering and Digital Sciences (SEDS) proudly celebrated the graduation of 673 students this year, making SEDS one of the largest graduating schools at Nazarbayev University (NU).

Among them, 455 students completed bachelor’s programs, 192 earned master’s degrees, and 26 successfully completed their PhD studies.

Today, Nazarbayev University School of Engineering and Digital Sciences is one of the largest schools at NU, with around 2,600 students and 23 academic programs. This year’s graduation once again highlighted the strong role of SEDS in preparing talent for Kazakhstan’s engineering, digital, and high-tech sectors.

Our graduates represented a wide range of fields, including Computer Science, Data Science, Robotics, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Chemical and Materials Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Management, and more.
Together, Computer Science, Data Science, Robotics, and Electrical and Computer Engineering represented a significant share of the university’s graduates, reflecting the growing importance of digital skills, artificial intelligence, and innovation-driven education.

We were honored to celebrate this milestone with NU Provost Rehan Sadiq.

The ceremony also featured inspiring remarks from NU alumni guest speakers Rakhat Meiramov, Arman Makhambetov, and Akmaral Abil, who shared their professional journeys and words of encouragement with the Class of 2026.

We also thank our graduating student speakers — Amira Toksanbay, Symbat Akkulova, Mariyam Zhaspenova, Azamat Shmitov, Akniyet Zhambayeva, and Dias Serkibayev — for sharing their experiences and future plans.

SEDS graduates continue to be welcomed by the world’s leading universities, including Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and ETH Zurich, as well as global companies such as Amazon, Google, Meta, and many more.

We are proud of our graduates, their dedication, and the contribution they will make to science, industry, innovation, and society.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We look forward to seeing your next milestones.
