Nazarbayev University Held Its Annual Open House Day

As the leading university in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, Nazarbayev University’s Open House Day drew over 13,000 visitors eager to explore the university’s innovative academic offerings. The School of Engineering and Digital Sciences (SEDS) showcased its six departments through interactive displays and information sessions, engaging both prospective students and their families.

Department representatives and SEDS student ambassadors welcomed visitors, offering insights into each program. The Chemical and Materials Engineering department featured bioprinters, solar cars, and hydrophobic materials, while Electrical and Computer Engineering displayed electric cars, Tesla coils, and Arduino sets.

Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering gave hands-on experiences with VR welding simulations and racing car models, and Robotics Engineering showcased robots, including a biped robot. Civil and Environmental Engineering highlighted its research projects, and the Department of Computer Science shared valuable program information.

The Arduino Development Camp offered students a chance to dive into coding and circuit building, bringing their tech creations to life.

This event highlighted Nazarbayev University’s leadership in shaping the future of engineering and digital sciences, providing inspiration and knowledge to the next generation of innovators.
