By the Order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 29, 2025, researchers of the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences (SEDS) were awarded state research scholarships for talented young scientists in recognition of their significant contributions to science and research excellence.
The award recipients include:
Associate Professor Almagul Mentbayeva
Postdoctoral Scholar Azamat Yeshmukhametov
In addition, Associate Professor Zhanat Kappassov, a distinguished SEDS Professor, was awarded the prestigious D.A. Kunayev Prize for Young Scientists for the best scientific work in the field of natural sciences.
The awarded research, entitled “Event-Based Robotic Tactile Skin for Intelligent Physical Interaction with the Environment,” represents a significant advancement in robotics and intelligent systems, contributing to the development of next-generation human–robot and robot–environment interaction technologies.
These achievements highlight the high research potential, innovation capacity, and international competitiveness of SEDS Professors and researchers.
