Overview
Mining engineers work at mineral extraction enterprises. They are responsible for organizing and managing mining operations, which include the extraction, recovery, and transportation of minerals from a mine.

A MSc in Mining Engineering is a two-year program aimed at training engineers who can design, carry out, and manage mining operations. In addition, the program focuses on developing the research skills and knowledge needed in the mining industry to ensure environmentally responsible and economically efficient mineral extraction.
During their studies, students learn local mineral extraction methods as well as how to adapt them to international standards. Since the curriculum is practice-oriented, our graduates are able to quickly adapt to local and global industry needs and apply the knowledge gained to mining projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan and worldwide.
