Overview
Petroleum Engineering is a field of engineering focused on the exploration and production of oil and natural gas. Petroleum engineers are responsible for extracting hydrocarbon resources from oil and gas reservoirs. They determine the best method for drilling and producing oil and natural gas from a specific well. They supervise drilling operations and resolve any operational issues.

They also search for new methods to improve production and develop new strategies to recover remaining oil and gas from existing wells.

A BSc in Petroleum Engineering is a four-year program that prepares engineers for careers in the oil and gas industry. In Kazakhstan, a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering offers excellent career prospects, as Kazakhstan is one of the world’s major oil-producing countries. It is a technically challenging but highly paid specialty that is in demand on the global labor market.
